Project

The current tools of rehabilitating people with aphasia, a speech disorder acquired as a result of brain injury, are very outdated and analog. Using the iPad we started developing "Samtala" in direct consultation with active speech pathologists to create a professional tool for the rehabilitation of impaired language ability, in and outside of healthcare environment. "Samtala" got a lot of attention in press, withing aphasic associations and from speech pathologists, both in Sweden and Norway, during the spring of 2012.

My Role

In this project I worked as the lead designer & interaction designer. I was involved in creating wireframes andplanning interaction together with Marcus - but spent most of my time in Photoshop. I layed the style foundation and created the graphical content for the entire application. Graphical guidelines as well as content where sent to the developer.

Outcome

"Samtala" is a work in progress. We have a fully working prototype with all the content & functions mentioned on the project website. We're currently working to release the application to the public, if it's on our own or with a partner is yet to be determined.

Folkoperan

Concept, interaction & interface.

A full mobile experience for the Folkoperan opera house in Stockholm with everything from ticket reservation to a live subtitling function in your smartphone device.

Project

Most of the bigger Opera venues in the world has a big screen above or in front of the scene displaying subtitles of the songs from the current show. Folkoperan in Stockholm does not have a solution like this and they asked my working group at Hyper Island to find out if there is a possibility to display the "Libretto" not on a big screen but in the audiences' smart phones.

My Role

I worked closely together with Gustav, creating interaction, flowcharts and wireframes, which I then proceeded to design.

Outcome

The biggest obstacle with a mobile phone libretto is to synchronize the text with the current show. Luckily, Folkoperan already had a solution for this so our goal become less technical and more conceptual and visual. Our final product is not only a subtitle function but a complete flow from the ticket shop to post-show where the mobile is included all the way. The user can browse current shows, reserve tickets, watch trailers and pre-show material, the libretto and contextual information during the show and post-show information with discounts on other shows.

TorchRun

Concept, interaction & interface.

TorchRun is a campaign utilizing the NFC technology, in which people can participate in bringing the olympic flame from Olympia to London.

Project

How do we bring people together using the technology of NFC? We created a social gamification of the traditional olympic torch run, using the mobile phones as the torch. It's a campaign where people with NFC supportive phones can participate in bringing the flame from Olympia to London. To be a torch carrier you simply bump your phone with the active flame holder.

My Role

I worked with designing the interface. In this project I wanted to challenge myself, working with vector shapes and making the flame as realistic as I possibly could.

About me

Who I am

Design, form & function has been a huge interest of mine for many years and is something the goes through all of my interests & hobbies. I love creating well thought, smart interfaces & experiences where the flow of the interface feel smooth and seamless.

I'm currently studying Mobile Applications at Hyper Island; a school where there's no teachers nor tests. We work with real clients, real briefs, solving actual problems.
